14 weeks belly pics

Here are this weeks pics.  I started wearing my maternity capris this week and I don't know why I waited this long!  They are SO comfortable.  I have a new respect for all things elastic! =)

On another note, Tyler and I went to Yellowstone last weekend.  It was awesome!! 

We saw lots of bison and elk.

It was a great trip even though it was a short one.  We can't wait to go back!!!

Week 13 belly pics

Ok - so you will just have to pretend that the 31 is really a 13 in this picture.  Apparently my expert photographer and I were a bit too tired or maybe dyslexic to realize that we had that backwards.  Oooops!  Oh well, you still get the point. 

Still feeling pretty well - sleeping and eating a lot and craving sweets.  Sweets is another sign that we are having a girl.  We will see!!!

12 week belly pics

12 week appointment update

Today Tyler and I went for our 12 week appointment.  I woke up barfing for the second time this pregnancy so I was pretty sure everything was still going as planned.  The appointment was great but we did not get to do an ultrasound.  Our next one won't be until 20 weeks.  Our doctor says he will do the necessary amount to keep the cost down but will do some fun ones too which we won't have to pay for.  We did get to hear the heartbeat though with the doppler.  It took him a minute or so to find it and I was FREAKING OUT!  Eventually, he could pick up my heartbeat on it and then a few seconds later he found the baby's.  It was 170 bpm.  He said mine was 110 because I was so nervous when he couldn't find it right away!!  Dr. Burke said things are looking just perfect for this stage of the game and our chance of miscarriage is now down to 2%!!  I actually am feeling like this is really going to happen now!  Whoo hoo!!!

I will post 12 week belly pics tomorrow.  I feel like I've grown a lot these past few weeks.  I think I am at that in between stage where people are thinking... is she pregnant or does she just have a really big gut??  Hopefully they are thinking the first!   

11 week belly pics

Just when I thought I was lucky...

So I guess I didn't miss out on morning sickness after all.  I had a horrible pounding headache all night that kept waking me up.  I thought I was getting sick because my nose has been a little stuffy and my throat has been sore.  When my alarm clock went off I got up and was thinking maybe I had a sinus infection or something.  Then I went to the bathroom and puked up all the water I had just drank.  Yuck!  Headaches are a symptom too so I think that is why my head hurt.  No fun...  feeling better now but really hoping this was a one time thing!!  My symptoms are supposed to be going away now since I am almost to the second trimester but apparently they are getting worse!  

On the positive side of this - it is very reassuring and puts my mind at ease!!  Good thing school is almost out!  One more week until my next appointment!

10 week update

Things have been chugging along quite nicely since I've updated last. I haven't really had any morning sickness so that has been great. It almost seems TOO easy but I'm not complaining!!! I have a few symptoms that keep reminding me that I am in fact pregnant so those are very reassuring. I have been eating like a crazy woman too. I will be totally fine one minute and then my stomach will start growling like I haven't eaten for days!! I lay in bed at night just thinking about all the food I wish I could be eating. My clothes are starting to get tighter now which is I'm sure a direct effect of the eating like a crazy woman issue....but it is  exciting too. Well, I'm sure I will have plenty more to tell after our appointment on June 10th. I forgot to mention that our due date is Dec. 24th. Christmas baby!!

The current debate between Tyler and I is about finding out the sex of the baby. I want to know but Tyler wants to be surprised. Any suggestions on how to get him to change his mind will be greatly appreciated!!!!  =)  Also feel free to sabotage him with text messages, emails, phone calls at 3am...whatever it takes!
